Note:

The co-authors researchers of accepted abstracts will have to have formalized the payment of their registration fee at one of the categories above.

Graduate students cannot submit work unless they are under the guidance of professors from institutions in which they are enrolled.

Given the approval of the proposed GT, coodinators should perform their entries in the event through the web page on the link "Registration". Payment of registration fee should be made by transfer between accounts or directly in cash, according to values and time limits contained in the notice of the event. No deposits will be accepted via envelope.

Coordinators of Working Groups will have until 25th September 25, 2010 for assessment of proposals for oral and poster communications they receive and forward the final composition of the Working Groups (with list of participants who had their summaries approved) to the e- Email iicih.inscricoes.gt @ gmail.com. The coordinators will be responsible for the selection of communications opinions of members of Working Groups (maximum 30 and minimum 10 participants for oral and poster). WGs that do not receive the minimum number of registrations, until the date specified in the schedule will be integrated with a similar WG or discussions will be canceled. Coordinators may submit their own communications in the GT.

Those who wish may have their work published in book of the event which will include texts of the speakers, the round table participants, coordinators of the WGs and mini-course instructors. The book will be released in the first semester of 2011.


For publication of the book a single text should be given the coordination of GT.

Instructions for submission of proposals for Mini-course

The mini-courses will be proposed by doctors and doctoral students, teachers and masters, until 19th July. Upon registration, the proposed Mini-course should be sent to the e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , in the form of project work, containing more than 1600 words (4 pages) according to the following schedule:

• Theme, Menu, Objectives, Contents, Methodology of work, Bibliography according to the ABNT. The proposal should be elaborated to be developed in six hours

Once the proposed Mini-Course is approved, the ministering teachers should make their applications on the homepage of the event through the link "Inscrição". Payment of registration fee should be made by transfer between accounts or directly in cash, according to values and time limits contained in the notice of the event. Registration of work: oral communication and poster


The Working Groups will have space for oral communications of postgraduate students and researchers in the field of history, but also the areas of Humanities producing an interdisciplinary perspective. And in poster form for undergraduate students who undertake research under the guidance of professors (PIBIC, monograph and participation in a research project as a volunteer) and graduates.
Essays, studies, research results will be considered for presentation.

General conditions for work submission: oral communication and poster

2. Poster and Communication authors can register one work only, being it as author or co-author.

3. When the advisors publish with the advisees, they should register their institutional orientation in a footnote in the abstracts or full texts of the undergraduates and graduated works.

General conditions for work submissions: Abstract

Upon registration, summaries must be sent. Abstracts will be published electronically in the Book of Abstracts and the full texts approved by the scientific committee will be published in Annals of the Event. Book of Abstracts and Annals will be available electronically on the event page with ISSN.

Format of abstract: The abstract should contain 300-400 words, Times New Roman font, size 12, spacing 1.5, no paragraph, no bibliography, no notes, no pictures (text only).

Formatting of full work

• From 3200-4000 words (between 8 and 10 pages), including notes and bibliography for oral communication and 1600-3000 words for poster (05-06 pages)
• A4 paper;

• Word for Windows (version 2003 or later);

• Times New Roman;

• Size 12;

• Spacing 1,5;

• Margins: top and bottom of 2.5, left and right 3,0;

• Justified alignment;

• Title in capital letters, centred and in bold;

• Name (s) of author (s) aligned to the right after a blank line of the title; (required)

• Institutional affiliation, just below the name (s) of author (s), also right-aligned;

• E-mail address below of institutional affiliation;

After a blank line, the text of the work;

• After two lines of space, the endnotes, if needed;

• After two lines of space, bibliography, presented according to the ABNT.

Note: The texts that do not comply with these instructions will not to be published in the Annals of the Event.

Formatting of work (book chapter)

The lecturers, participants of roundtables, coordinators of the Working Groups and mini-course instructors who wish to publish their writings in the book of the event should direct them to the e-mail until 30th January 2011, along with the Terms Assignment of Copyright, with an electronic signature of the authors. The Organizing Committee will not receive texts after the deadline and states that responsibility for the content and revision of documents lies with their authors.

Each Thematic Group will be entitled to publish a text, even if there are two coordinators.

All the texts must follow these demands:

a) File name must be identic to the work (small cap), plus the name and author's name without diacritics. The spaces between words should be filled with underscores.

b) The text must be typed in Word for Windows version 6.0 or higher, with the following configuration:

c) spacing: single, font: Times New Roman, size 12, A4, margins top, bottom, left and right: 2.5 cm ; unnumbered pages.

d) The text for publication in the Book (collection) must contain at least 10 and no more than 15 pages including references, notes and illustrations.

Formatting text for publication in the Book (Compilation)

1. Title. Centered, bold, upper case, size 12;


2. Name (s) of author (s), centered on the right, only the initials in capital letters, size 12;


3.
Captions should be in lower case, bold, flush left, not numbered, size 12;


4. References in upper case, bold, flush left, not numbered, size 12;


5. Quotations up to three (3) lines must be in the text, without italics, called author-date in parentheses. Quotations of more than 3 (three) lines should come off the body text, size 10, with 4cm;


6. The references provided in the text, enclosed in brackets, should be summarized to the last author's surname, the date of publication of the work and the page when necessary (Burke, 2005, p. 20). If the author's name is mentioned in the text, we indicate in parentheses, only the date and the page;


7. The emphasis on text and / or examples should be in italics;


8. The final references should stick only to those mentioned in the text and will be arranged as follows:


- Books: surname and name of author, book title (in italics), place of publication, publisher, publication date;


- Book chapters: surname and name of author, title of chapter (no box), followed by In: and references in the book: name and surname of the author / organizer, book title (in italics), place of publication, publisher
, date, adding page numbers;


- Journal articles: author's name and surname, title of article (not highlighted), name of periodical (in italics), volume and issue of the journal, page numbers, date of publication.


9. Notes should be kept to a minimum and placed at the foot of the page. References to footnotes should be made by numbers within the row above;


11. Annexes should be placed after the references;


12. Figures, tables and graphs must come inserted in the position to be included in the publication. In case of images, the author must send the word to transfer the copyright of the image / figure;


13. Along with text and attachments, the author (s) (s) (s) should send the term of assignment of copyright, in .pdf, containing your electronic signature. To download the template, click here;


14. The Organizing Committee reserves the right not to publish texts sent after the deadline or not in accordance with the guidelines set forth herein.
